Date: Saturday, February 8, 2025
Time: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Location: Chéticamp Visitor Centre, 16648 Cabot Trail

ACAP Cape Breton, the Chéticamp River Salmon Association, and the Municipality of the County of Inverness are pleased to announce a winter watershed walk will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Chéticamp from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. We ask participants to meet at the Chéticamp Visitor Centre (16648 Cabot Trail, in the National Park) parking lot at 10:45 am.

The difficulty rating of the hike is easy/beginner. We will talk about trout, salmon, and stream habitat restoration. If you have snowshoes, bring them! If not, we will have some on hand.

We encourage people to register by February 6 so we know how many pairs of snowshoes are required and can let you know in case of last-minute weather cancellations. Please email Monica (mragan[at]acapcb.ns.ca) with your name, number of attendees, how many snowshoes are needed, and preferred email address. If you miss the registration deadline, please feel free to attend anyway!

***In case of adverse weather, ACAP Cape Breton will contact participants by email and post to their social media pages by 9:00 am the day of the walk.***
