  • Yes, ACAP Cape Breton is a charitable organization, registered federally with the Canada Revenue Agency (140801580RR0001). We are also registered in Nova Scotia as a non-profit organization.

  • ACAP Cape Breton is a charitable non-profit organization based in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Through habitat restoration, monitoring and research, environmental education, and waste diversion, we work alongside our partners to help protect the land and waterways of Unama’ki.

  • No, we are not able to accept old and used electronics. Many Enviro-Depots accept electronics and other recyclable goods. You can find information about an Enviro-Depot near you on the Divert NS website.

  • Hope for Wildlife is a charitable wildlife rehabilitation centre that helps wildlife in need across the province. If you stumble across an injured animal, text or call their wildlife hotline at 902-407-9453. Wildlife drop off locations can be found on their website.

  • No, ACAP does not conduct home energy assessments. To connect with a home energy advisor for an assessment, visit Efficiency Nova Scotia’s website.

  • Our job board and social media pages are regularly updated with job postings. Summer student internships are typically announced mid-winter (February - March).
